Singing lessons are not just for children but are for everyone. In singing you or your child will learn how to be a great performer on the stage, how to perform as a confident soloists, how to sing and project without the use of a microphone and will learn how to have a long and healthy singing voice.
I teach children from the age of 7/8 as that is when children have more of an understanding of the difference between singing and shouting, as well as teenagers and adults all the way up 100+. It’s never too late to start!
In my singing lessons students learn basic music theory, aural and sight reading. I don’t give out lyric sheets but will always give students sheet music, to help with reading and understanding what music notation is and how we use it.
All students are given the opportunity to perform in Eisteddfods, though it is not compulsory to do so. I believe that a singing competition or Eisteddfod is for fun and to showcase what you are learning and to gain helpful feedback from other teachers. My philosophy is that an Eisteddfod or competition is not about winning, it is about enjoying the performance if they are placed that is an added bonus.
I teach all styles of singing: Musical theatre, Classical, Jazz, and Contemporary.
